I've had the idea for this little project for a while. The main goal was to create an easy way to put images in applications skipping any type of cache.

All known alternatives use a URL to get an image. In the browsers this gives you a new image each time you reload the page, and that's fine, but if you are developing native applications (iOS in my case), any cache that you have in the application will make you see always the same image, and that's a little boring.

The project

The project is hosted in a free dyno in Heroku.

The generated images are hosted in the same dyno and this means that every day the temporary images are deleted. It should not be any problem if you use the API instead of pointing to a temporary url.
